Overview

Position is located in Westerville, OH at our new location Inniswood Village.

Open to people of every faith, National Church Residences has become a leading name in senior services, retirement community management and support for people in need, such as permanent supportive housing for the formerly homeless.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with ordering inventory, posting of invoices, and scheduling and supervising of the kitchen staff. 
  • Assists with the monthly financials and works to resolve any billing and/or inputting errors.
  • Directs, supervises, and coordinates the over-all production, service and ware washing of the food service operation.
  • Provides training and guidance to the kitchen staff on the highest quality food preparation, presentation and service as well as efficiency and cost control.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable State of Ohio standards regarding food handling, sanitation and HACCP.  Responsible for training staff to know proper standards and the daily practice of said standards.
  • Develops seasonal menus by involving residents, cooks, directors and dieticians.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination and preparation of special meals and performs food demonstrations when required.
  • Visits all dining facilities on a routine basis.  Must be accessible to staff and residents.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, promotes a team approach, and participates in appropriate problem solving methods.
  • With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for clients, reports all complaints made by clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately.
  • Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.      

 

Qualifications

Education:    Culinary degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.

 

Experience:   Two to four years

 

Mental:          Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.

 

Skills:             Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.

 

Licensure:     Serv-Safe

 

Vision:               Normal: Consistent with standard workflow.
