According to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Food Services Director, the Dining Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the flow of quality food and service throughout the operation and ensures resident and guest satisfaction.
Ensures resident satisfaction by checking with residents during meal service to ensure a quality experience for residents and guests, meeting new residents to explain the meal plan
and learn their likes and dislikes, performing meal rounds, test trays and tray line audits, etc.
Completes proper opening and closing documentation, as applicable, checking out and dismissing all employees after work is checked and approved.
Communicates all pertinent issues with employees, reading and responding to manager’s log and e-mails daily.
Supervises dining services employees to include: following progressive discipline procedures, participating in annual evaluations, completing new hire training, conducting regular inservices,
ensuring uniform compliance, and other supervisory duties as assigned by the director.
Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen and dining room using the appropriate cleaning assignment lists, records equipment temperatures, and acts on, records and communicates any
equipment breakdown accordingly.
Oversees special scheduled functions and any other catering functions.
Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, promotes a team approach, and participates in appropriate problem solving
With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for clients, reports all complaints made by clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors,
reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately.
Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but
not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Two to four years
Mental: Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
Skills: Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.
Licensure: Serv-Safe, CDM Required
Vision: Normal: Consistent with standard workflow.
