This position is located at our Center for Senior Health located off 161.  The hours will be varying first shift hours, Monday-Friday.


The site manager oversees the daily operation of the center to ensure maximum quality and care for the center participants, the agency and individual staff members.




  • In concert with team members, determines the best delegation of responsibilities relating to the daily operation of the Center.
  • Ensures employee job performance and results by providing direction; giving regular feedback regarding performance; coaching, counseling and disciplining staff; maintaining documentation of employee job performance; planning,monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Models proper team behavior in all areas.  Helps to reinforce team climate. Provides appropriate and timely ways of mitigating staff stress.  Serves as a mediator during team conflicts.
  • Works in cooperation with the Facility Director to oversee facility upkeep, maintenance and safety.
  • Works effectively with internal and external programs upon which the Center relies for smooth functioning (i.e., transportation providers, food service providers, other health professionals and administrative support team).
  • Coordinates and participates in staff and consultation meetings, and acts as team   member in evaluation of participants
  • Facilitates employee communication and participation by requesting and utilizing employee ideas and feedback in decision-making when possible.
  • Coordinates with appropriate staff and vendors to obtain food and program  supplies for Center and participants
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates volunteers working in the Center.  Works with Director of Programming to facilitate volunteer program within the center.
  • Works in cooperation with other Site Managers.  Ensures that information about  resources is shared appropriately with other Site Managers for the benefit of all centers.
  • Assumes administrative responsibilities necessary for maintaining current records   and reports.  Is responsible for ensuring that all required reports, documentation, etc. (i.e., attendance, arrival/departure times) are submitted to the administrative office in a timely manner.
  • Identifies special concerns for client and staff safety and modifies the environment and center accordingly.
  • Monitors cleanliness and enforces infection control policies in order to maintain a safe environment that presents a positive public image.
  • Is responsible for the appropriate expenditure of funds for participants, food and   center supplies.
  • Reports to Social Worker any family/client situation needing attention from social work staff.
  • Oversees staff schedule and ensures adequate staffing pattern. Relocates staff as necessary to cover individual program needs.  Monitors and approves time off to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Apprises and coordinates in-service and continuing education needs of individual staff members with Director of Programming to ensure advancement of skills and   knowledge in individual job related areas.
  • Contributes to the Center operation by being visible to clients and families and available to team members.
  • Reviews and approves time sheets for Center staff
  • Reviews and signs all Incident Reports and Complaint/Request forms.
  • Is responsible for monthly documentation of food and non food purchases.  Ensures that proper menus are followed for Center prepared meals and snacks.
  • Assumes any other duties as assigned by the Director of Programming  and Administrative Team.
  • Is aware of agency personnel, participant care and emergency procedures.  Is familiar with program policies and procedures.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that  new employees receive proper orientation .
  • Attendance is good and employee reports to work on time.  When it is necessary  to be off, uses proper channels to notify supervisor
  • Attends required inservices and mandatory meetings.  Fulfills at least twelve hours of inservice each calendar year.
  • Respects the privacy of Center participants by keeping in confidence the information about their medical and psychological history that is available to staff   members.
  • Contributes to the teamwork philosophy.  Treats team members with respect and   works cooperatively with team members to provide the best care for the clients.   Handles staff conflicts well and works to resolve conflicts with team members.


Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with staff, participants, their families and the public at large.

Must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members, families,  transportation resources and members of the general community. 

Willingness to work independently and provide leadership and guidance to program staff.

Must possess good organizational skills.

Must have experience in supervision.

Experience in managing in a nonprofit organization,  geriatrics and/or therapeutic activities desired.
