Position is located at our new facility in Westerville, OH.


According to prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Executive Chef assumes the responsibility for the preparation and distribution of all foods, services and general operations.



  • Operates assigned dining services area in a professional, businesslike manner, providing the highest quality of food and best possible service to residents, staff and guests.
  • Oversees the preparation of all food in sufficient quantities to cover all service requirements.  
  • Adheres to all sanitary regulations and safety governing the handling, preparation and serving of food. 
  • Responsible for the hiring, supervising, training, managing, evaluating, and handling corrective action for all employees of the assigned dining services area. 
  • Confers with the Food Services Director and/or Dietician as needed regarding operating problems, resident food service and healthy diets. 
  • Plans the menu and works with resident advisory group concerning menu choices. 
  • Purchases the food, supplies, and equipment within budget.  Checks food delivery from suppliers.




  • Attends and participates in monthly supervisor meetings.




  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach, and participates in appropriate problem solving methods. 
  • With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for clients, reports all complaints made by clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately. 
  • Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences’ Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.





High School Diploma or equivalent



Two to four years.



Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.



Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.


Licensure: Serv-Safe certification, Ohio Level-2 Certification, TIPS Certification
