  • Overview

    According to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable federal, state and local regulations and under the general supervision of the Manager, Energy and Capital Planning assumes responsibility for the coordination of projects as assigned.




    Energy Management


    • Represent the company to support energy-related issues in senior, social, and health care advocacy organizations
    • Perform project research and report preparation related to the activities of the organizational unit to which assigned; may prepare and update a variety of periodic and special narrative, database and statistical reports
    • Perform basis analysis and prepare reports and recommendations
    • Research and pursue special incentives available from utilities, utility regulatory agencies, and other utility public benefit organizations
    • Serve as the “owner” of data management services: Ensure utility accounts for each property are gathered centrally, benchmarking, problem resolution.
    • Maintain accuracy of data for utility payment processing system
    • Coordinate the gathering of data from properties
    • Assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of property energy plans
    • Evaluate and implement equipment energy efficiency upgrades
    • Oversee the proper specification of energy consuming equipment in new and renovation projects
    • Direct evaluation and implementation of internal Energy Policy
    • Coordinate special projects or programs as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Capital Planning

    • Maintain administrative duties related to capital projects including process payment applications, tracking project progress, and contract administration
    • Oversee the Capital Needs Assessment process to ensure the reports are up to date for each property
    • Monitor Capital Planning Database (CPD) to ensure projects are budgeted and completed and provide defined reports
    • Act as liaison between lenders, contractors, and regulating agencies



    • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, and participates in appropriate problem solving methods.


    • Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences’ Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.


    • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.


    • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.


    • A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives.


    • Strong facilitation and delivery skills.


    • Ability to use independent judgment.


    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.


    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Education:       Bachelor’s degree. 


    Experience:      Three or more years performing similar job responsibilities in energy preferred


    Mental:             Must have good communication, comprehension, computer and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.


    Skills:             Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite.
