  • Overview

    Manage all aspects of the Yardi software platform including overseeing QA testing on new version releases, provide high level support of Yardi issues, implement software enhancements, upgrades, service packs, and menu and permission changes, manage the installations and implementation of all new Yardi products.  Ensure that Yardi is in compliance with HUD handbook 4350.3, TRACS, Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, Tax Credit regulations per the State Housing Agencies, HOME program and BOND financing. 


    Manage all daily Housing Support Team operations, including tracking of timely issue resolution, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures, and client contact and conflict resolution.  Ensure compliance with HUD handbook 4350.3, TRACS, EIV, Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, Tax Credit regulations per the State Housing Agencies, HOME program, BOND financing, and HUD handbook 4350.3;



    • Manage Yardi Software Platform
      • Work directly with Residential and Affordable Account Managers on issue resolution
      • Manage upgrades to the software to ensure we are on the current version
      • Maintain menu sets and permissions
      • Maintain testing document and oversee testing completed by internal departments in preparation of software upgrades
      • Manage and maintain customization log and issues list
      • Review all training material/manuals prior to software upgrade
      • Attend yearly YASC conference to keep up to date on software changes or new products
      • Train Client Support Specialists (CSS) on updates to Yardi
      • Support Central Office staff on all Yardi related issues


    • Manage Housing Support Team
      • Supervise the Client Support Specialist within the Housing Support Team. Ensure consistency across all Client Support Specialist for ticket resolution and customer service.   
      • Manage and review TRACK-IT tickets and turn-around time.
      • Conduct regular team meetings to answer questions, communicate upcoming projects/events, follow-up on workload and outstanding items.
      • Follow-up with RPLs and RVPs on occurring issues within their portfolio.
      • Train Client Support Specialists (CSS) on ticket related issues, updates in the industry, updates to Yardi, and updates on process and continual education on customer service.
      • Perform employee evaluations, schedule continued education and training and assist with career development.
      • Create monthly reports demonstrating effectiveness of the Housing Support Team, late recertifications, HAP subsidy, and EIV errors.


    • Support and Industry
      • Maintain industry knowledge to ensure that National Church Residences is operating under the latest legislation and regulations as is relates to HUD, TRACS, EIV, Tax Credits and other affordable housing programs managed by National Church Residences.
      • Ensure that Yardi is operating within all industry guidelines to function as the property management system for Housing Operations.
      • Manage all aspects of Yardi upgrades including determining if an upgrade is needed, setting and maintaining a timeline, organizing a testing team, testing within the upgrade environment and following the upgrade, and working with Yardi to upgrade the system


    • Other Accountabilities:
      • Notify supervisor of all compliance issues that substantially affects a community or National Church Residences performance.
      • Perform other compliance tasks that may be assigned by supervisor that would aid in the compliance for the National Church Residences’ Housing Division.


    • At least four years of experience in the Affordable Housing Industry that includes HUD and Low Income Tax Credit Housing

    • Strong knowledge of Yardi Administration and Database Setup, TRACS and EIV

    • Prior team Lead experience.

    • Excellent computer skills to include advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office tools.

    • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and project management abilities.

    • Exceptional research and problem solving skills.

    • Strategic thinking and business acumen.

    • Consistent adherence to high standards of ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism.
