  • Overview

    According to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable federal, state and local regulations and under the general supervision of the Director of Environmental Services/Maintenance assumes the responsibility for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of assigned areas.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    *Coordinates with other staff members in assuring quality environmental conditions for the residents and staff.

     

    *Performs all cleaning duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

     

    *Establishes standard work methods and maintains monthly employee work schedules for the department with the Director of Environmental Services/Maintenance.

     

    *Assists with overseeing departmental employees.  Provides input and feedback for staff performance evaluations.

     

    *Identifies departmental problems and developes goal oriented recommendations for solutions.

     

    *Developes, updates, and documents an effective in-service training program for departmental employees.

     

    *Developes and reviews master cleaning activity in Environmental Services Department (daily, weekly and monthly).  Ensures activities are accomplished on schedule.

     

    EXPECTATIONS

     

    *Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach, and participates in approprieate problem solving methods.

     

    *With respect to Residents Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for clients, reports all complaints made by clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately.

     

    *Must adhere to all policies, prodedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences' Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to  corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.

     

    *Performs other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Completion of high school coursework or general education requirement certificate.  

    Three years of experience in an Environmental Services Departement.

    Must have the ability to understand, read, write and understand English.

    Must have computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
