  • Overview

    According to prescribed policies and procedures including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations and under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Center Receptionist supports and assists the Site Manager and Center staff with clerical and record-keeping duties.




    • Answers phones according to facility policy, takes and relays messages for managers and staff.
    • Greet clients, caregivers, visitors and staff and helps with their needs in a professional and compassionate manner.
    • Records attendance and cancellations for the center. Communicates relevant information to the main office.
    • Communicates transportation changes to staff, the Transportation Coordinator, Transportation Supervisor and contracted transportation providers.
    • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of client and agency intake packets, creation of client charts and forms (bathroom lists, enrollments, meal count forms, Arrival/departure forms, calendars, etc. as well as labels, emergency cards, birthday and caregiver lists for the new clients).
    • Type’s letters, reports and other materials as requested by the Site Manager and Administrative Team and initiates action where appropriate.
    • Responsible for ordering lunches for the following business day. Keeps all records that correspond to the ordering and cancellations of lunches.
    • Responsible for sending the completed weekly billing paperwork (bath schedules, meal count forms, rosters and arrival/departure sheets) to the main office every Monday for the prior week.


    Education:       High school diploma or successful completion of GED.   

    Experience:     At least one year experience as clerical support staff.  Proficient utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to type 40 words per minute.

    Mental:            Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

    Skills:              Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.

    Licensure:        Desirable to have a valid driver’s license.  

    Vision:             Normal: Consistent with standard workflow.
